Terms of use

The terms on which this calculator is offered: estimates only, no professional advice, no warranty.

Last updated 30 August 2026.

Estimates only. This is not tax advice.Nothing on this site is professional tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and using it creates no client relationship. Consult a CPA, enrolled agent or tax attorney before acting on any figure here.

What the calculator is

An educational tool that applies published federal and state tax rules to figures you enter. It cannot see your full return, and it does not model a substantial list of provisions that can change the answer materially — the omissions are listed in full on themethodology page. A result is a starting point for a conversation with a professional, not a filing position.

Accuracy

Every figure is traced to a primary source and the sources are cited on screen. Even so, tax law changes, published figures are revised, and mistakes are possible. The site is provided as is and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

If you find an error, please report it with a source. Corrections to tax figures are treated as urgent.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on any figure it produces — including underpaid or overpaid tax, penalties, interest, or lost opportunity. You are responsible for your own tax filings.

Acceptable use

You may use the calculator freely for personal and professional purposes. Please do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for others, or present its output as your own professional opinion.

Governing law

TODO — confirm the governing jurisdiction before launch. This clause should name the operator's own jurisdiction.

Changes
